Movie night trailed off quite a lot last term, in part because of a lack of things to watch and also because it clashed with Boardgames. I'm interesting in continuing with it because it gives people a chance to watch stuff which they otherwise wouldn't and it's not a high-pressure 'we must socialise' thing (not that everything else we do is).
Firstly: Monday night is not ideal due to the clash with Boardgames. Is there another day of the week which people think would work better? I'll bring it up at the next committee meeting and hopefully we'll decide on an evening to do it.
Secondly: I'd like to try and put together a list of twenty films to watch during first term. I'm thinking more classic sci-fi/awesome to introduce the freshers with than some of the random stuff we watched last term.
If you have copies of films which you are willing to bring/allow me to borrow for the purposes of movie night then please let me know what you have, either on here or via email. I'm looking to make a list of all the films available before picking ones for first term.
Depending on what people have, I'll make a draft list and leave it open enough that if new shiny things come out then it's easy to shuffle around to accommodate them (possibly being more flexible during second term).
Any other thoughts/suggestions are also welcome.

Is it the Jeff Goldblum version of the Fly? Because I remember loving that film. I think it's probably a good movie night movie.

It is indeed the David Cronenberg version from 80s, starring Jeff Goldblum and Geena Davis.
