Thank you to all the people who turned up and made our first night so successful! Hopefully, we will see everyone on Sunday, in L/037, from 1pm. If you wish to adventure, be there at 1.30 at the latest.
Also, we'd like to hear what your character's doing! Downtimes are a description of what your character is trying to do during the week that is not simply training to learn skills. Written downtime results will be available at the start of Wednesday sessions and will also be e-mailed to you.
You may also spend any XP or AP on learning additional skills. Here is a basic list of what is available for all characters with XP:
Endurance Armour Weapon skills Ambidexterity Shield Spell points Resists
In addition to the above, you may also spend AP on:
Physician Magic spheres Spells Literacy
If you wish, we can provide more details or advanced skills based on your character's current skills.
An example (very simple) downtime might read like this:
I spend 2AP on the downtime action of 'I go to a nearby village, and ask the farmers there about any problems they have'. I spend 2AP and 3XP trying to learn armour level 3. If I get it, I will spend the rest on getting sword double.

So, How many days (AP) will it take me to find someone to train me in the use of Level 2 armour from my current Level 1 state?
Also, how much for a single resist?
Edit: Maybe I should just put this in an Email. Mind you, it would be pretty good if we could make downtime submissions by PM.

Shattered Legacies is a closed system. This means that how much particular skills cost is kept secret from the players. This is in turn so that we can freely tinker with how it all works behind the scenes based on our own judgement, without 20-odd players telling us that what we've chosen is wrong.
When you are spending AP on training in skills, there will be a set number that you need to spend. This represents each character's choice of ways of learning, which you are free to describe in play however you feel is appropriate. If you went out and found someone to train you, or you spent a while making your own armour, or whatever, that's cool, but not something we need to handle.
I have re-edited my original post for an example downtime.

I'm not sure we've been told all the missions that are to be happening this sunday. If anyone who is leading a mission could tell us, that would make our lives a lot easier.

Christmas holidays count as 1 week.

At some point, you shall be receiving emails giving you a complete character sheet recap. If you wish to submit downtimes, submit them by the 2nd of January, I think. Bah. There will be an email telling you this.

Hello, all.
For the weekend, we want to make an awesome mission of awesome random confusion. We would appreciate as many people as possible for a variety of roleplay and action roles. If you've not larped before, or you're not keen on make-up or larp rules or whatever, we will have all sorts of encounters available. The more people, the easier it will be for us to run, and the more awesome it will be for the players.
So in short: come this sunday, we need you! We will be in L037 from about 1ish.

Toby and Tom (The Photographers that showed up last sunday) will be doing their photo-shoot in L/037 this sunday (10th), from 10am. If you're intersted, turn up! (they asked me to remind people)
Ta!
