Pending I disagreeistant returning from deepest Turkey, I shall be beginning work on a Magic Community website for York, not exclussively, but largely, aimed at SF&F Magic folks (OK, so in theory, anyone in the city playing magic should be coming to campus to play SF&F events, but its just possible someone might live in Haxby and still play Magic).
The question is: what should be on it? I'm minded to not include a forum, but simply a link to this forum, as I wouldn't want to replicate something thats already underused (nor do I excessively want to mod another web-based communication channel).
The main crux of the website will be a calendar that can be updated by various people with details of things we're upto, especially if there's a car load heading to a PTQ or Sheffield Steel, or someone is holding a Birthday draft or whatever. Obviously, it'll be a reminder of formats for FNM as well, and anything else we're running.
There'll also be a chance to put up stuff like tournament results, and any other messages we might want to share, and even strategy stuff if people can bothered to put pen to paper.
Anyhow, what else should go on the website? Do we need space for playtest groups to discuss/plan stuff, for instance? Answers by reply.

I think this sounds like a good idea, it could be very useful for logistics and if it could get reasonably high on search engines it could bring players in to FNM from around York so we can get garuanteed sanctioning numbers every week.
